The United States Golf Association (USGA) is our country’s national association of golf courses, clubs, and facilities, as well as being the governing body of golf for both the U.S. and Mexico.
When Swoop had the opportunity to support the USGA transport of over 500 people at one of their prestigious tournaments, we knew we’d hit an ace.
USGA needed a flexible and reliable event transportation service for staff and volunteers getting them to and from hotels, offsite parking lots, and multiple event sites over 10 days.
The USGA is hugely important because it creates and interprets golf rules, alongside
St. Andrews-based R&A (Royal and Ancient Golf Club). The USGA also hosts 14 national championships, including the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open, and U.S. Senior Open, and their headquarters are based in Liberty Corner, New Jersey along with the USGA Museum.
So it’s understandable that we couldn’t wait to join this prestigious association to support staff and volunteers for this particular tournament.
Harmonizing a logistics plan of transport routes for hundreds of people across multiple venues, including hotels, event sites, team offsites/dinners—and the golf course itself.
Our Swoop operations team analyzed the various locations and schedule requirements to create the most logistical and effective routes and itineraries for staff. From there, the schedule was shared with the team—but, crucially, Swoop allowed and suggested schedule modifications at any time through our logistics overview and live technology.
This was also shared with the client—once they had access to real-time tracking, they could receive timely updates and know exactly where their drivers were at any given time.
While we scheduled as many prearranged rides as possible ahead of time, there needed to be space for on-the-spot journeys too.
