What is Swoop?

Swoop is an group transportation marketplace. We focus on providing rides that offer customers an enhanced experience, without breaking the bank. Our network of vehicles can comfortably fit groups up to 40. With Swoop, it’s easier than ever to keep your group together as you ride in style to your destination.

When can I order a Swoop?

For now, you can order a Swoop on-demand from Friday from 6pm-2:30am, Saturday 12pm -2:30am, & Sunday 12pm-8pm. If you like us, please tell a friend and help us expand those times.

You can also request a ride for any day/time of the week with an advanced reservation.

To place an order in advance please follow the steps below:
1. Hit black arrow to “set pick up location”


2. Press the “clock” right under drop off location. A screen showing dates and times will appear.

3. Select the date and time you would like and hit “Request Swoop”

*All reservations outside of on-demand availability are subject to approval. We will notify you shortly after your request.

Which locations does Swoop operate in?

We are currently operating in Los Angeles, CA and are actively exploring expansion opportunities. Want Swoop in your city? Let us know by submitting your request to info@swoopapp.com.

How much is a Swoop?

Our Swoop vans are approximately the same price as Uber SUV, and we never surge! Our fares utilize the following formula:

$25 base + $0.55/minute + $4.25/mile

Additionally, there is a $5 cleaning fee that you will be charged after each ride, which is passed on directly to your Swoop Captain.

*Please note there is an additional charge of 40% for groups over 10 up to our maximum capacity of 16.

How do I get a fare estimate?

Fare estimates will help you get a sense of what a trip will cost. To get an estimate after you’ve entered your pickup location and destination:
1. Tap SET PICKUP LOCATION
2. Tap FARE ESTIMATE at the bottom of the screen

Keep in mind that fares can vary due to traffic, weather, and other factors. Additionally, there is a $5 cleaning fee included after each ride.

How do I add a new payment method?

Before requesting a Swoop, use your app to add a payment method to your account. When a trip ends, your preferred payment method will be charged.

Use your app to set up a payment account:
1. Tap the menu icon at the top of the app and select PAYMENT.
2. Tap ADD PAYMENT.
3. Add a payment method by scanning a card, manually entering card info, or adding an alternative payment type.

We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. The total fare will be automatically charged upon completion of your ride.

Can I have an alcoholic beverage in a Swoop?

Yes! Swoop welcomes you and your drink with open arms. You must be over the age of 21 years old and have a valid form of identification. Swoop encourages safety and drinking responsibly.

What's the cancellation policy?

Due to limited availability for Swoop, there will be a cancellation policy on requests cancelled 5 minutes after accepted by Swoop. Additionally, once Swoop arrives to the requested pick-up location there will be a 10 minute grace period upon where the customer and their group must be inside the vehicle.

Cancellation fees are as follows:
Customer cancels 5 minutes after they have made a request – $10 charge
Driver arrives and customer cancels before 10 minutes – $20 charge
Driver arrives and customer cancels after 10 minutes – $30 charge

What is the Malibu Wines Adventure?

Swoop and Malibu Wines have teamed up to offer customers an all-inclusive wine tasting experience. Our goal? To enhance your experience of getting to and from Malibu Wines while re-imagining the wine tasting experience. We offer multiple pickup locations (see below) at awesome restaurants and hotels around Los Angeles.

How do I buy a ticket?

Go to the Swoop Malibu wines page, www.swoopapp.com/malibu-wines and “Select your date” Once you have selected your date, you will be ready to go!

What does the Malibu Wines Adventure Include?

The ticket includes:

Round-trip transportation by a professionally driven luxury Sprinter van
On-board benefits of Swoop – Wi-fi, Bluetooth audio connectivity, and complimentary beverages
VIP picnic space at Malibu Wines with tables, chairs, linens and umbrellas for the duration of your stay
Wine Tasting Flight – Enjoy a private red or white tasting flight of 5 wine varietals courtesy of Malibu Wines
Private sommelier to guide your selection and offer wine expertise

How much is the Malibu Wines Adventure?

The total ticket cost varies by the location purchased. All tickets start as low as $95/per person!

Hollywood – Mama Shelter – 6500 Selma Ave, Los Angeles, CA – 11:00am Boarding Time
